Wannes Wouters - (Re)constructing Reality with the Toltec Superreflector

Wannes Wouters is a Dutch artist living in Antwerp, Belgium.

He studied at the Art Academy of that city and the video below and the suit in it were part of an assignment in his course there.

The caption for the video reads:

"The Toltec Superreflector reveals to people the principle that everyone uses everyone else as a mirror to view, analyse and adjust themselves."

The reflected light and the distorted sound, the slowed-down robotic movement and the incredulous looks on the faces of people passing make this video an experience. You should probably watch this while high on mushrooms.

Believe it or not, but this is one of the more conventional pieces of art by Wannes. There is more to follow. A lot of it is serial killer-themed. Another is titled 'Roman-Catholic slide' - I can't wait for the photos of that one. SOB will bring you more Wannes. You need it.
